Who We Are

McLees, Boggs & Selby, Architects has been providing architectural services to the central Georgia area for almost 50 years.

Though we are small, we routinely provide design services for projects with budgets in excess of $10 million. These projects include health care, education, recreation, commercial, and institutional facilities. We also do historic renovation/restoration and adaptive reuse.

While we work with developers on occasion, our primary activity involves the design of facilities that will be owner-occupied. Therefore, we tend to view our projects as solutions to the specific needs of a particular client.

As designers, our purpose is to help our clients realize their own visions. We want our buildings to perform for their Owners. A successful project helps define an image; it improves an organization’s productivity; it allows and facilitates growth.

Much of our work at MBS Architects comes to us through our existing contacts. We don’t feel successful until our clients retain us for the second project (or the third.)

McLees, Boggs & Selby places a high value on the education of our designers. All of our technical staff have degrees from accredited schools of architecture, and each is registered to practice in the State of Georgia. We provide continuing education programs in-house, and we support continuing education efforts in a variety of outside venues.

In addition, we were among the first firms in Georgia to use building information modeling. In other words, we design in three dimensions and we can present our clients with three-dimensional images of design solutions that might not be easily understood using traditional methods. Our use of technology also allows us to work with quality design consultants regardless of where they are located. We have used consultants based in other countries, and we have done work in other countries as well.

Finally, we pledge our best effort for each client. Most of our business is repeat business. We don’t feel successful until we are retained for the second project (or the third.)

McLees, Boggs & Selby looks forward to working with you!

International Work

McLees, Boggs & Selby, Architects is currently providing design services for a high school project in Haiti. We have designed a medical facility in Botswana as well.

McLees, Boggs & Selby, Architects is comfortable doing projects using metric dimensions or providing both metric and imperial dimensions as preferred by our clients. (Quite often, we provide drawings for industrial clients that utilize equipment manufactured in Japan, Germany, or elsewhere. Our drawings are then reviewed in both the US and in the country of manufacture before the equipment is installed.)

McLees, Boggs & Selby, Architects can also furnish drawings and specifications in Spanish, French, or Haitian Creole if this is desired by a client. We are willing to do international travel and to work with international clients and with consultants based in other countries as well.
